O&M Direct has raided Channel 4 to hire talent to boost its DRTV
Simon Foster, who has played a key role in developing DRTV campaigns at
Channel 4 since 1992, is leaving to join O&M Direct as head of DRTV.
From January 1996, Foster will be part of O&M’s direct response media
team. His brief is to improve UK and European DRTV campaigns for O&M
Direct, which in the past 12 months has produced ads for several clients
including the British Red Cross, Eagle Star Direct and National
Foster will report to Beverley Price, targeting director at O&M Direct.
Price commented: ‘Simon has one of the best brains in the industry on
how direct response television can be integrated as part of a multimedia
strategy. As there are so many ways of using TV to generate a response,
Simon’s skill and experience will be a valuable asset to our agency -
and to our clients.’
Foster said: ‘With the number of TV channels increasing, and consumers
becoming more comfortable with ads which invite a response, DRTV is set
for massive growth in the coming years.’
