Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper is beefing up its creative services department by
luring Lowe Howard-Spink’s Mark Cooke as executive director of creative
services.
Cooke, 33, has worked with Lowes’ chairman, Frank Lowe, since leaving
school, latterly as deputy head of traffic and production.
Cooke will now take a seat on the board at Euro RSCG, a rare appointment
for a traffic controller. His arrival in January will mean that the
existing head of traffic, Mike Chubb, will concentrate more on print
production, while Cooke will take a broader role, including art buying
and general control of the creative department.
His recruitment reunites him with Mark Wnek, Euro RSCG’s executive
creative director. Wnek worked closely with Cooke during his time at
Lowes, when he partnered the art director, Alan Waldie.
‘I spent several years with Mark at Lowes and I know he was the best in
a department widely accepted as the best in the business,’ Wnek said.
