News International has announced the line-up of key executives for its internet arm, News Network, which is being led by Alasdair MacLeod as managing director.
Alongside MacLeod are Andy Coulson, as chief content officer; Christopher Lloyd, as chief operating officer; and Susan Boster, as chief commerce and marketing officer.
MacLeod said: "News Network is taking aggressive steps to provide UK consumers with online offerings that are relevant, useful and entertaining. This can only be achieved by attracting high-calibre staff with proven skills in new media development."
Other executives appointed as part of the Network team are as follows:
Bill Akass, editorial, formerly night news editor on the Sun; Robert Avery, business development, a 12 News International display advertising veteran; Jeff Cha, marketing, has worked for Sony Online Entertainment, the globe.com and CMGi's iCAST.com. Adam Davies, technology, previously technology strategy manager for The Times websites; Bob Hitching, product development, has worked for retailers such as Benetton Direct, GUS Home Shopping and the Arcadia Group; Richard Reeves, advertising sales, joins from CNN. JP Sanchez, marketing, previously head of marketing (Europe) for Virgin Interactive, Kylie Sellick, marketing, was responsible for launching FOXTEL in Australia; Stephen J. Van Rooyen, business development, joins from Andersen Consulting's strategy practice.
