Ogilvy and Mather has hired the art director behind the Levi’s ‘fridge’

commercial, Marcus Vinton, as a board director and group head, to

partner the copywriter, Alun Howell.

Vinton, who has been freelancing at O&M, was previously at the Chelsea

Partnership, where he art directed the launch ads for the Hugo Boss

fragrance, Hugo.

As a freelance, he has also worked on advertising for Prada and Diesel

Jeans. Before that, he was at DFSD Bozell, where he worked on various

accounts.

Vinton is probably best known for being one half of the team that

created the ‘fridge’ commercial for Levi’s. He has been nominated twice

for D&AD silver Pencils for his Levi’s work.

Patrick Collister, executive creative director at the agency, said:

‘Marcus has an extremely good book and a very good reel. When someone

shows you their Levi’s credentials, you can’t really let them go.’
