Advertisers planning bus campaigns will be offered a virtual one-stop

shop for national advertising campaigns following TDI’s acquisition last

week of a significant chunk of the bus market.

TDI, the London Underground and bus advertising company, becomes the

country’s biggest bus advertising contractor after acquiring the bus

division of Maiden Outdoor for an undisclosed sum.

TDI’s bus division now covers around three-quarters of the population,

taking a 61 per cent share of the pounds 27 million market. It is

promising to make heavyweight bus ad campaigns simpler to buy. The

company also recently acquired Ireland’s largest bus advertising

company.

Jeremy Male, the managing director of TDI, said: ‘There are now only two

players in the market where previously there was extreme fragmentation.

That means more investment in the medium.’
