Arden Sutherland-Dodd has signed up Kristian Levring, a leading

Scandinavian director, to work on the company’s roster alongside Paul

Arden and Thomas Krygier.

Levring’s campaigns to date include Electrolux, through Bartle Bogle

Hegarty, Tennent’s, through the Leith Agency, and Boots No 7, for St

Luke’s.

The Danish director has been living in France for eight years. He has

shot campaigns in Europe for clients including Carlsberg, Volvo, Coca-

Cola, Citroen and Renault.

Nick Sutherland-Dodd, the executive producer at Arden Sutherland-Dodd,

said: ‘Levring is a real film-maker for whom we have a lot of respect.

He has worked extensively in France and in the UK market - he has become

a truly European director.’

Annie Irvine, who has been Paul Arden’s producer for the last year, will

now produce for Levring, who has moved over from Freedom Films. Irvine

said: ‘Kristian uses humour with an edge, and has a slightly off-beat

style. He also employs a distinctive and vibrant use of colour.’

Levring, who plans to live in London, strives to be original in his

casting, and often scours Europe to find the right person for a

commercial.
