Travis Sennett Sully Ross is strengthening its senior management as part
of efforts by its Dentsu parent to broaden the UK agency line-up.
Gill Sully, the agency’s creative director, and Nick Sennett, the deputy
managing director, become joint managing directors.
Peter Travis, the current managing director, takes over as chairman and
chief executive, and Maurice O’Shea is joining from Ammirati Puris
Lintas as the agency’s first finance director.
The changes are a response to expansion by Travis Sennett, which claims
a billings increase of between 60 and 70 per cent in the last year.
They are also in line with the agency’s declared aim of achieving Top 30
status within five years. It is currently ranked 64 with claimed
billings of pounds 25 million.
Since joining Collett Dickenson Pearce as a Dentsu subsidiary in 1995,
Travis Sennett - best known for its work on Patak spices and the pounds
3 million TV launch of the Yakult health drink in March - has been
working hard to become a significant counterbalance to its CDP ‘sister’
Travis said that the management changes had not been demanded by Dentsu
but had the full support of the Japanese parent company.
‘Giving Nick and Gill extra responsibility will help our growth
process,’ he added. ‘It’s also important to have creative people
involved at the most senior level.’
