News UK is sending people with trial subscriptions to The Times and The Sunday Times scoops from the papers' 230-year history as part of a direct campaign.
The activity, created by Wunderman as part of WPP's Team News, consists of two direct marketing packages. One highlights free home delivery and the other reproduces on newsprint some of The Times and The Sunday Times' biggest scoops of the past 230 years. Stories in the second package include dispatches from the world's first war correspondent, the investigation into Lance Armstrong’s drug-taking and the Fifa corruption scandal. The work was written by Nigel Webb and art directed by Richard Kenyon. Tom Redican was the photographer.
