The HHCL Brasserie has won its first repeat business by landing the task
of creating a second set of commercials for the bottled drink, Metz.
The Brasserie successfully launched the brand for Westbay Distillers
earlier this year.
Westbay is more than doubling its spend on the brand, taking its
advertising budget for the schnapps-based drink from pounds 2 million to
pounds 5 million. The first ads went on air in June to support the
launch at the beginning of July.
The agency was set up in September 1995 as a ‘broadcast-only’ shop that
handled one-off projects for clients under a maximum six-month contract.
However, it may expand into print for Metz.
Details of the new campaign have not been finalised, but the aim is to
have ads on air by Easter 1997. However, Mischa Alexander, a partner at
the Brasserie, said: ‘The thrust of a client’s brief needs to be a TV
campaign but if it should need a radio or poster campaign, we have the
facilities to do that.’
