Nick Worthington to be chairman of the 2003 Aerial Awards

Nick Worthington, the Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO copywriter, is to chair the 2003 Aerial Awards.

Worthington will head the jury for the radio creative awards, organised by the Radio Advertising Bureau, after winning last year's Aerial Gold Award for a DTLR campaign developed with his partner, Paul Brazier.

Last year, the Aerial Awards jury was chaired by Dave Droga, the former executive creative director of Saatchi & Saatchi.

The jury for this year's awards is expected to be announced later this spring.

Worthington, who joined AMV in 1996 after nine years at Bartle Bogle Hegarty, said: "Personally, I love radio. I can't understand clients or agencies who don't get excited by its potential."

Andrew Ingram, the director of the Aerial Awards, added: "We are particularly pleased that Nick has agreed to chair the Aerials this year, as the awards are going from strength to strength."
