The event is part of the King's Cross Sports Day, a family-friendly fun day celebrating the opening of the Olympic Games, taking place this Saturday (6 August) on behalf of KCCLP (King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership).

The Nike event will include two running 'tours' - one at 12pm and another at 2.30pm. There will be 50 participants per session with running activity starting and finishing on King's Boulevard. Two Frame instructors will be present and there will be free T-shirts and 20% off vouchers for participants. Tickets need to be pre-booked but there will also be an allocation for walk-ins.

Earlier this year, Nike announced a new global running event series as part of its NikeWomen Victory Tour.

Agency Produce UK is devising both the running tour and the sports day and says visitors can expect interactive, highly visual fitness activities as well as some silly games. Highlights will include climbing walls, slackline workshops, bootcamp training, work out sessions with Frame, canal kayak games, tai chi, zumba, yoga, a health food market, and a competitive egg and spoon race.

Catherine Borowski, managing director of Produce UK, said:"Given that most people can’t make it to Rio for the Olympics, the team at Produce UK is delighted to be donning our sports kit and giving the public the chance to experience the space in King’s Cross in a new sporting light."
