Nissan moves Verneuil back to UK as marketing director

Verneuil moves to the UK from France where he was Nissan's advanced marketing strategy and performance planning general manager in Europe and will report to Alex Smith, managing director of Nissan Motor.

He replaces Chris Marsh who has moved on to the post of UK aftersales director for Nissan. Earlier this year Martin Moll left Nissan as European marketing director after two years in the role.

Verneuil joined Nissan in 2004 and has since held roles in sales performance, retail marketing and was chief marketing senior manager for saloon cars in Canada. More recently. He moved back to Europe as cross carline marketing manager and customer experience general manager.

His strong marketing background across Nissan's operations makes Verneuil a "great addition" to the UK team, Smith said.

Verneuil added: "Nissan has seen significant and consistent growth in sales performance and consumer brand opinion in the UK over the last five years. I look forward to building on this positive momentum."
