Johnson replaces Fiona Bosman, who is leaving after two years as head of brand engagement, without a job to go to.

He will report to John Nichols, head of marketing at Nokia UK. Nichols succeeded Will Harris, who moved to Singapore to lead Nokia's marketing for Asia-Pacific, last year.

Johnson arrives from Australia, where he was senior marketing manager responsible for all the brand's ad campaigns.

Nokia has also hired Tom Stannard from Orange UK as brand and campaigns manager.
