Nunwood Consulting, which last year won BMRA People Management Award, once impressed the judges with its forward-looking approach to its business.
The judges praised the agency's proven dedication to staff development and commitment to building strong relationships with clients. The Award for Best Agency of 2004 was sponsored by Willott Kingston Smith.
Arthur Fletcher, chair of the BMRA judging panel, said: "The BMRA Research Business Effectiveness Awards are a celebration of outstanding achievement by market research agencies.
"This year's awards were hotly contended, with many excellent entries. The judges had a tough job to select a winner in each category, but these successful agencies each had a distinguishing feature that made them stand out. They represent the very best of the market research industry and can be justifiably proud of their achievement."
Other award winners at the BMRA's Research Business Effectiveness Awards, at the Cafe Royal in London, included RCU, Flamingo International and GfK Media.
RCU picked up the Award for People Management. The judges said they were impressed by RCU's commitment to fostering teamwork and praised its decision to make all of its employees shareholders.
Flamingo International won the Award for Quality & Service Excellence winning on the back of its emphasis on quality and service across its full range of business activities.
GfK Media, which took home the Award for Innovation, was singled out by the judges for its highly innovative and effective approach to developing technological solutions that deliver significant benefits to its clients' businesses.
The highly regarded BMRA Research Business Effectiveness Awards are designed to reward best practice amongst BMRA member companies in the management of their businesses and the development of services they provide to their clients.
