It has bought Clinic, the creative shop previously owned by Virgin, which numbers Sky TV among its major clients.
The agency joins NWD alongside the corporate communications company 21st Century Communications, the field marketing specialist Vibe, and Andsumm, which introduces clients to media they would not usually use.
"Clinic is an important acquisition for us because it reflects mine and David's backgrounds," Page said.
Page, who was last year linked to a possible bid for the now-defunct Cordiant group, said he was looking to do with NWD what he had planned to do with Cordiant had his takeover plan succeeded.
Page said he was looking to offer clients an alternative option to the communication supergroups.
"We'd like to model ourselves on the Abbott Mead Vickers group in the way we do business and treat our people," he said.
