O2 has brought together the droids from the old Star Wars films with one from the upcoming sequel in a new ad announcing a movie-première giveaway.
VCCP created the ad, mixing tailor-made footage with snippets from the new film. The competition is to win tickets for the first showing of Star Wars: The Force Awakens through O2’s Priority rewards scheme. The spot opens on C-3PO and R2-D2 wandering the desert and meeting a new droid character, called BB-8, who has some important information to share with them. It was written by Steve Dodd, art directed by Josh Dando and directed by Dave Meyers through RadicalMedia.
