The paper will roll out its new TV listings section on 26 November which will be edited by television editor, Mike Bradley. The new colour section will be regionalised in three editions.

TV and film features and reviews will now run in the Review section, alongside the arts and books features and cultural comment. The section, edited by Lisa O'Kelly, will gain four pages and an increase in colour slots.

Roger Alton, editor of the Observer, says: "We've had a good year in and this further investment in the paper will allow us to provide an even fuller service to the reader, repaying in part their commitment to the paper."
