Ocado ad picks up September Aerial

Simon Spilsbury and Cornelius Wisiwitz, the creative team at the agency Come-sitdo, have won the September Aerial Award for best radio ad.

The creative duo's spot for Ocado, "rock 'n' roll", was judged to be the best ad of the month by Jon Canning, the creative director of Burkitt DDB.

It features an update of the "Ocado man" radio creative, with the Ocado character singing in the style of Elvis Presley.

Runners-up for the September Aerial Awards, held in association with Campaign, were Matt Lee and Pete Heyes of DDB London, for their "score" ad for The Guardian, and the 4 Creative team for their "baaa tonight" work, for the launch of The Charlotte Church Show.

Commenting on the winning ad, Canning said: "Forget Marmite, this is the big love-it-or-hate-it of the moment. Personally, I love it - particularly this all-singing, all-dancing Elvis version, which stays in your head for days and makes ordering groceries on the internet sound a doddle."
