Celebrity gossip magazine OK! has switched its masthead radio programme from Talk Radio to Capital Gold.

Celebrity gossip magazine OK! has switched its masthead radio

programme from Talk Radio to Capital Gold.

The new twice-weekly show, OK! On-Air launches on 7 November and will be

pre-recorded - except for the live launch show - and presented by

Capital Gold’s DJ Mick Brown.

The existing OK! Talk on Talk Radio is currently a one-hour show

broadcast twice a week. The final show will go on air on 5 November.

Capital’s programme content will feature showbiz news and is designed to

appeal to a younger audience. ’The magazine’s rise has largely been due

to its wooing of younger readers,’ said one industry source.

The contract is due to run initially for one year and the programme will

be broadcast on Sundays at midday until 2pm with an updated version on

Thursdays.

Andy Turner, Capital Gold’s programming director said, ’The match is

perfect. OK!’s core readership approximates Capital Gold’s

listenership.’
