Olsen and Wright consider FCB future

Sven Olsen and Martin Wright are expected to leave FCB as the network dismantles its European management structure, making their roles redundant.

Olsen, the executive vice-president of FCB Europe, and Wright, the European president of FCBi, have been invited to apply for positions within the FCB or IPG networks, but it is not known whether they intend to do this.

FCB's regional management restructure will scrap seven positions at the network's European headquarters, which is based in FCB London's offices.

The European restructure follows the announcement that FCB was eliminating a layer of senior management across its global network. The FCB Asia-Pacific president and chief executive, Ben Barnes, will leave the network, along with his European and US counterparts, Scott Hollingsworth and Gene Bartley respectively.

FCB has promoted Rafael de Guzman, one its three regional directors, to the position of president and chief executive of the network.
