Hess takes over management of OMD Europe's Aurum division, which draws on OMD's links with parent company the Omnicom Group, as well as other sister companies to provide an integrated, full-service offering to clients.
During Hess's time as planning director at Leo Burnett, he worked in a global capacity, handling clients including Kellogg's and United Distillers & Vintners.
Hess has also previously worked as a managing partner of the creative partnership Host Universal on projects with Cafedirect, UPC and BT. At Host Universal, Hess worked across advertising, promotion, online and brand development.
The Dublin born-Hess was a 1997 Campaign face to watch. He started his career in the IT department at the advertising agency Collett Dickenson Pearce, where he was spotted by the then head of planning, Mark Reynolds.
He later joined Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper to work on Procter & Gamble and Microsoft, under John Madell, before moving to Leo Burnett in 1995 as an account planner.
