BMP OMD is rebranding as OMD UK, taking a lead role in the global
OMD media network. Its sister Omnicom agency, New PHD, is launching its
own global media brand, PhD - including Advanswers, Creative Media and
HYPN in North America - to be led by David Pattison.
The restructure is designed to clarify OMD’s position in markets where
it has a number of independent media shops. It follows the launch of OMD
in the US with billings in excess of dollars 4 billion.
The international teams based in London will now move into OMD UK, whose
chief executive, Paul Taylor, said: ’Our clients are requesting European
and international capabilities and this move enables us to build on the
scope and scale of our current operations.’
