- UK terrestrial digital TV broadcaster ONdigital was left reeling yesterday as programming director, Ashley Faull, and commercial director, Jim Ratcliffe, became the latest senior directors to join the management exodus.
The latest departures come just six weeks after the company's chief executive, Stephen Grabiner, quit to join venture capital company Apax Partners.
Faull was responsible for winning ONdigital the rights to European soccer tournament the UEFA Champions' League. He is understood to be launching a new media venture. Ratcliffe is to become chief executive of the Aerospace division of Willis.
They may not be the last departures. It is rumoured that other senior managers including legal counsel Marcus Ezekiel and operations director John Egan have been linked with Faull's new media venture.
Coinciding with the departures are the arrivals of Graeme Stanley who joins from Cable & Wireless Communications as director of broadcasting and Nick Bowman who has been appointed director of customer services. Bowman joins from Granada, which -- along with Carlton Communications -- owns ONdigital.
Ratcliffe is being temporarily replaced by consultant Peter Howard. He is a former marketing director at cable company Videotron, which was swallowed by Cable & Wireless Communications.
