The moon potters through a dreamy cityscape in Mother Shanghai 's first work for electronics brand OnePlus.
The ad begins as the moon makes a casual descent from its usual spot in the sky, before sauntering through streets, parks and the odd underpass. "Just a thought – what if we just let more light in," a voiceover declares as the moon skims on the surface of a pond. It ends by introducing OnePlus’ newest phone, launched in partnership with Swedish camera brand Hasselblad.
Created as a nod to Hasselblad’s status as the first camera on the moon during NASA’s moon landing, the work was directed by Michael Gracey through Unlisted and Finch.
