Brett Horton likes to play with fire. Literally. He spent his
college days learning to juggle, which paid off when he landed a summer
job in Malta.
’I did all sorts of juggling,’ he says, listing flaming clubs alongside
the obscure devil stick and the sinister diabolo as the tools of his
trade.
On a less macho note, he adds: ’I also did balloon twisting and face
painting.’
Known as ’magic man,’ he drank free in every bar and was admired by the
local womenfolk. But his nickname changed to ’ghost man’ when one local,
judging him a fire hazard, seized an extinguisher and covered him in
foam.
