OPINION: Go-it-alone Delaney relies on loyalty

Hearts clearly triumphed over heads when Greg Delaney and his fellow directors at Delaney Fletcher Bozell agreed to shun a merger with FCB in favour of going it alone.

It’s a brave decision and, it is hoped, not one that they’ll come to

regret. The newly launched Delaney Lund Knox Warren will be operating in

the fiercely competitive middle ground, with scant prospect of becoming

a repository for conflicting international business, as FCB has little

enough of this as it is.

Delaney Fletcher clearly feels that loyalty to its clients must come

first. Let’s hope they are suitably grateful.
