Called Optinet the site has been developed to improve communication between client and agency around the world.

The Publicis Group-owned media buying network will launch the first of these in September with UK drinks company Allied Domecq. Next to come on stream is likely to be electrical goods company Whirlpool, which is currently testing the idea. Other Optimedia clients said to be interested are S.C. Johnson and 3-Com which are both evaluating the concept.

Allied Domecq has allowed Optimedia access to its own internal Intranet so that its staff can click on Optinet at any time. The Optinet site will carry management information, including competitive activity and expenditure reports, case studies and media plans.
