The agency was awarded the account following a pitch against Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R.
Its appointment follows the acquisition last year of the Novartis brands Options and Ovaltine by Associated British Foods for £171 million. RKCR/Y&R has previously created work for the Ovaltine brand.
The Options business is expected to be worth £2 million and is likely to see the chocolate drink return to TV after a three-year absence.
Options has seen very little advertising for the past two years but Twinings, the ABF division that will house Options, is now looking to boost its profile.
A new campaign is understood to be in development and will encompass various above-the-line media beyond television.
Twinings made no comment.
