Orr takes on role as marketing director for Leagas Delaney

Leagas Delaney has hired the former WCRS board account director

Will Orr to be its new marketing director.

Orr, who ran WCRS's flagship Orange account and left the agency to do an

MBA, has been hired to pursue new business more aggressively and to

manage the Leagas Delaney brand more effectively. This year the agency

has won the pan-European Opodo account and Pilsner Urquel, but it has

lost business from Barclays, Nintendo, Bendicks and Porsche.

The chief executive, Tim Delaney, said it was important for Leagas

Delaney to promote itself further: "The agency has changed a lot, from a

UK-only agency with a strong creative reputation to a group with a

unique, creatively led international offer. We want this new reality to

be known."

Orr will be the third marketing director Leagas Delaney has had in just

over a year.

The former marketing director, Lucy Meredith, left last summer for HHCL

& Partners. She was replaced by Kim Pattie, who had been the marketing

director at Harrods, one of Leagas Delaney's clients. She left earlier

this year, and the agency has been looking for a replacement.
