Ovarian Cancer Action "World Ovarian Cancer Day" by TBWA\London

Ovarian Cancer Action has enlisted some reality stars to mark World Ovarian Cancer Day, which takes place this Saturday (8 May).

The social campaign features celebrities including Love Island’s Cara Delahoyde-Massey, Celebs Go Dating’s Anna Williamson, plus-size model Georgina Horne, influencer and author Emily Clarkson and TV presenter Lisa Snowdon as they pose in embroidered pants, which illustrate the danger of ovarian cancer through cartoon images of bombs and grenades.  

It comes after research from the brand found that a woman dies every two hours from ovarian cancer in the UK. The work was created by Gemina Gil Flores and Jemma Burgess, with illustration by Mathilde Wagner.  

In July last year, Ovarian Cancer Action launched an ad which called the disease "the second wave", in light of a predicted 35,000 extra deaths as a result of avoiding the doctor during the coronavirus pandemic.
