Ads highlighting summer sales dominate the nationals today with furniture and home improvement retailers vying for readers' attention.

Supermarkets prepare for the weekend shopping crowd with Morrison’s again occupying the cover of The Sun with its £5 off promotion, aimed at families. 

The Daily Express includes an ad from Tesco, pushing deals and a Clubcard offer; Asda, highlighting a wine promotion, and M&S promoting a 3 for £5 deal. Similar ads appear in the Daily Mail, as well as a full page ad from Aldi encouraging ‘match party’ deals.

Care home company Barchester chooses The Daily Telegraph for a cover ad while several brands book half page ads in the first quarter of the paper.

M&S repeats its 3 for £5 offer on page three, Volkswagen in on page five, Currys page six, Sainsbury’s is on page seven, Peugeot page eight and B&Q takes a full page nine.

The Daily Mirror concludes its weeklong promotion with singer Prince as it builds up to its exclusive giveaway of his latest album tomorrow.

Cinemas will be hoping for a big turn out tonight with the release of the latest Twilight instalment 'Eclipse', pushed by prominent ads in several papers.

The Times attracts designer brands to its pages, with Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana taking strip ads on the first few pages.
