Passenger jet gets 'Frozen' treatment with 21-day paint job

WestJet, the Canadian airline, has collaborated with Disney to custom paint an aircraft - outside and inside - in the style of the mega-hit film Frozen.

Passenger jet gets 'Frozen' treatment with 21-day paint job

The airline operates as many as 43 flights per week to Orlando, close to the Walt Disney World resort, and sells holiday packages as well.

The paint job, which took 21 days and can be seen in the time-lapse video below, follows the theme of transforming cold into warmth.

It shows Frozen characters Anna and Elsa "celebrating the magic of snow" on the tail fin while at the front of the plane Olaf the snowman can be found on a beach.

The theme is continued inside the plane with decals on the headrests, overhead bins, bulkheads and bathroom mirrors, changing from snow at the back to sun at the front.

Bob Cummings, executive vice-president commercial at WestJet, said: "This aircraft takes the relationship between WestJet and Disney to a completely new level of cool. Two years ago we launched our first Disney-themed aircraft and no matter where it flies through our network, it is the most-anticipated and most-photographed aircraft in WestJet history."
