Tequila brand Patrón is hosting a sustainable cocktail masterclass and dinner on 24 April featuring sustainable produce paired with the brand's cocktails.

The event marks Earth Day, an annual celebration demonstrating support for environmental protection. It is taking place at London members' club The Conduit, which stages events focusing on social and environmental change.

The "Cocktails with a conscience" activation aims to showcase the versatility of Patrón and the variety of cocktails that can be made using otherwise discarded ingredients, such as creating a blood orange sherbet from leftover squeezed oranges and peels. Dishes will feature ingredients sourced from small-scale farmers, fishermen and specialist producers predominantly located in the British Isles.

Lee Applbaum, global chief marketing officer of The Patrón Spirits Company, said: "Sustainability has been at the heart of Patrón since our inception. We believe in doing business the right way and limiting the environmental impact of our tequila production. Each course is paired with a bespoke Patrón cocktail, showcasing the versatility of the liquid, featuring leftovers from the preparation of each dish."

As part of a wider drive focusing on sustainability, Patrón is also partnering several bars across London and Europe to showcase its sustainable practices, with consumers encouraged to try cocktails made from leftovers.

Earth Day is marked each year on 22 April. "Cocktails with a conscience" is being delivered by ThreeSixty.
