Paul Cranwell, the commercial director of Emap Radio’s

YourScreen.com, left the company last week to set up a rival internet

venture.

YourScreen’s managing director Iain Clasper confirmed that Cranwell had

left the company but refused to comment on the reasons why.

Cranwell was responsible for creating sales strategies for Emap Radio’s

six city websites. He did so by liaising with the company’s headquarters

and its 50-strong local sales force.

Meanwhile, Clasper has appointed Paula Brown as internet executive.

Brown was previously the senior sales executive for Clear Channel Sales,

with responsiblility for Jazz FM.

YourScreen is part of the Emap Performance Network. Ad sales are

outsourced to Emap Radio’s London and Manchester offices and Emap

Online.

The six city websites provide up-to-date news and information about each

city’s culture, sports and entertainment. The company plans to launch a

host of other sites in the coming months.
