Trueman continues to innovate at MasterCard, having moved from a pure marketing role to one focused more squarely on security. However, he is using his experience to inject more excitement than you might expect into this traditionally nuts-and-bolts area of finance. Trueman flags the ‘Selfie Pay’ initiative, which uses facial recognition through the smartphone camera, as a highlight, saying that "we took face biometrics to signal the death of passwords". Despite his current role in security, Trueman says he "remains a committed marketer trying to bring about change."
