The life insurance company, Pearl, is to beef up its relationship

marketing and has appointed Partners Andrews Aldridge to the task after

a three-way pitch against undisclosed agencies.

Partners will work alongside HHCL & Partners, Pearl’s advertising

agency, translating the advertising into customer relationship marketing

programmes.

Debbie Mitton, head of customer development at Pearl, said: ’The new

task is to build Pearl’s customer communications activities to support

its direct sales force of almost 3,000 across the UK. With over three

million customers, the challenge is to ensure we target the right

consumers at the right time with appropriate products and messages.’

A large part of the work assigned to Partners is new activity. Tullo

Marshall Warren’s relationship with the insurer has come to an end, but

not as a direct result of the recent review. Partners’ first work for

Pearl will hit the market next month.

Phil Andrews, a managing partner of Partners, said: ’We are very proud

to add the company to our growing list of blue-chip clients.’

Mitton added: ’We needed to find an agency that could really get to

grips with our brand and express it in sympathy with our advertising

activity. Partners Andrews Aldridge demonstrated that they could express

the brand in effective direct communication and with outstanding

creativity.’
