Perrier-Jouët to showcase immersive experience for London Design Festival

Champagne brand Perrier-Jouët will unveil L'Eden by Perrier-Jouët, an immersive experience themed around a vision of nature, at this year's London Design Festival.

The experience will be hosted at the London Design Festival, taking place from the 17-25 September and will also span London Fashion Week, in celebration of two of the capital's biggest cultural weeks.

The immersive experience will be located in Wardour Street in Soho and will feature an installation from leading Parisian designer Noé Duchafour-Lawrance and the world’s first bio-responsive garden by Bompas & Parr.

Duchafour-Lawrance's interactive installation links nature to the city, paying homage to the Art Nouveau emblem that has graced every bottle of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque designed by artist and glass maker Emile Gallé in 1902.

Dramatising the approach in which champagne is served and taking inspiration from nature, the installation includes a vertical system of 3D-printed elements suspended from the ceiling on a network of brass tubes which grow down from the ceiling, like branches from a pergola. At the end of each vine a champagne glass hangs upside down by its stem, ready to be filled with Perrier-Jouët.

The world’s first bio-responsive garden, an installation filled with plants that mimic the movements of explorers amongst them, will also be on show. 

L’Eden by Perrier-Jouët will also be programmed with a variety of events open to the public around design and Perrier-Jouët champagne, including design talks, fashion presentations, Perrier-Jouët tastings, masterclasses and parties. Consumer can experience the installation from the 23-25 September, with other dates by invitation only.

L’Eden is taken from the name of Perrier-Jouët’s most exclusive cellar in Epernay for its top vintages.

Perrier-Jouët teamed up with Bompas & Parr earlier this year to launch an ultra-exotic florist in celebration of Valentine's Day. The brand will also be activating at National Champagne Week, taking place from 1 to 8 October.
