Pfizer appoints agency to launch Viagra in the UK

The London based healthcare advertising agency will develop a trade campaign for the prescription-only drug, which has already featured in a string of headlines in the UK even though it has yet to be released here.

No date has yet been confirmed for the drug's UK debut. Pfizer is awaiting a government license, which is expected to be granted shortly.

Martin Standley, the medical business director of Paling Walters Targis, said: "We are working closely with the team at Pfizer to support the enormous potential for this brand as well as removing any misconceptions generated by the lay press interest."
