PHD hires Universal McCann's Crow as a successor to James

PHD has poached Universal McCann's head of press, Adam Crow, to head its press buying division.

His appointment followed the decision by PHD's former head of press, Laura James, to relinquish her press buying responsibilities and to concentrate on being a media director. The agency has been searching for a replacement for James since August.

PHD recently restructured its TV, press and radio buying departments into one unit and handed John Overend the role of overseeing it as the investment director.

Crow will work with PHD's head of TV, Bijan White, and head of radio, Cathy Lowe. He reports to Overend.

Between stints with MindShare and Universal McCann, Crow worked as the sales and marketing director of Totally plc, a community of websites specialising in services for the Jewish community.

No-one at PHD would comment on the appointment as Campaign went to press.
