Philips unveils 'making of' film for 'carousel' ad

LONDON - Philips has released a short film on the making of its frozen-action TV ad by Tribal DDB Amsterdam and Stink Digital.

The ad, entitled "carousel" and launched last month, features a freeze-framed single-take shot through a cops and robbers shoot-out to promote Philip’s Cinema 21:9 television.
The "making of" film reveals the ad required a crew of more than 100, a motion-controlled rig, three cranes and plenty of 3D trickery.

Stuntmen and dancers with the ability to remain in awkward positions for long periods of time were used to help create the freeze-framed effect.
