The cloud of alcohol will be entirely composed of fine spirits and mixers, at a ratio of 1:3, with powerful humidifiers used to super-saturate the air. Protective suits will be worn by guests, who will experience humidity in the cloud at 140% - meaning there will be so much alcohol in the air that they will only be able to see less than a metre.

Despite the concentration of alcohol, when breathing it in it bypasses the liver. This means guests will consume 40% less – with the same reduction in calories – in order to feel the same effect as if you had drunk it, according to Bompas & Parr.

Sam Bompas, director of Bompas & Parr, said: "Creatively the installation draws inspiration from Borough Market’s produce, medieval history and weather to create a sci-fi fantasy where meteorology and mixology collide. "

The new project builds on the studio's 2009 pop-up installation of the same name. The full drinks list will be announced on 14 July.
