Eight brand ambassadors were present at the event, handing out Pink Lady apples, supporter flags, which included healthy recipe ideas, and fridge magnets to participants and spectators.
TRO handed out more fresh apples at the end of the race with the help of a pink branded tricycle filled with fruit. A comedy photo wall was set up for runners, who could share their pictures on social media afterwards.
Overall, 12,000 apples were sampled and over 2,000 pieces of merchandise were handed out. The Pink Lady tent also provided free wifi to guests.
The Scottish 5km race was attended by more than 14,400 runners, and also hosted brand tents for Scottish Power and Aqua Pura. TRO will bring the Pink Lady brand to seven other Race for Life events, including Leeds, Oxford and Portsmouth.
