Inspired by rum brand Wray & Nephew’s rich Jamaican heritage, roots and its influence on UK culture, the event, which took place at Rainbow Venues, was devised together with music and content agency Script and Produce UK.

More than 500 people attended the event, enjoying over 10 hours of entertainment, with performances from Goldie playing an exclusive reggae set with MC LowQui, Iration Steppas and a mammoth back-to-back session with legendary selectors Earl Gateshead and Don Letts.

The day party aimed to be a celebration straight from the yard, with music, food, games and more. A live graffiti wall was curated by Birmingham’s City of Colours Festival. Wray & Nephew was also part of a California-themed pop up with surfing brand Quiksilver, which took place in Leeds.

National Rum Day took place last week: read here for more details on rum activations
