Pitch update: Dept for Transport, Center Parcs, NSPCC, eBay, Typhoo

Four agencies have made it to the next stage of the NSPCC's fundraising review, while other shops pitched this week for eBay.

Government roster agencies are eagerly awaiting a briefing document for the Department for Transport’s Think! road-safety pitch – the first major review under the new framework. The document is expected on 3 March. Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO won the business in 2013 but cannot repitch after failing to secure a place on the new framework. We’ve been here before. Previous incumbent Leo Burnett was prevented from repitching in 2013 because it also failed to make it on to the last roster.

Center Parcs is holding tissue meetings this week with at least three agencies for its UK ad account. Incumbent Brothers and Sisters is repitching and the brand expects to appoint the successful shop by April.

Four agencies have made it through to the next stage of the NSPCC’s fundraising review. The charity is looking for a lead shop to handle creative and strategy for its fundraising arm. Chemistry meetings took place two weeks ago. Pitches are expected in early March, with a decision likely by the end of April.

Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, Anomaly London, McCann London and VCCP pitched this week for eBay’s
European creative account. AAR is running the process. DDB Berlin is eBay’s creative agency in Italy and Germany, while Adam & Eve/DDB provides creative support in the UK.

Typhoo has appointed McCann Manchester on a project basis after a competitive pitch. Media Reach created its most recent campaign starring Nigella Lawson and will remain Typhoo’s digital agency.
