The business came up for review in May and, following the involvement of WPP boss Sir Martin Sorrell, the brief went out to agencies within the network. Chemistry meetings took place this week.

Sainsbury’s is speaking to four agencies about its £60m ad business: Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, Mother, MullenLowe London and Wieden & Kennedy. The process is being led by AAR but Sainsbury’s has yet to confirm if this is a formal pitch. AMV picked up the account in 1981.

Mencap, the learning-disability charity, has appointed The Corner as its first retained creative shop. The Corner will help reposition the organisation. The agency beat BMB, Fold7 and St Luke’s in a process also handled by AAR. It will work with Mencap’s media shop, John Ayling & Associates.

The Brooklyn Brothers has landed Ovo Energy’s integrated business after a four-way pitch. The shop will produce above-the-line, social and digital activity. The Brooklyn Brothers’ first challenge is to launch the Smart PAYG campaign later this year.

Stonewall, Europe’s biggest LGBT group, held chemistry meetings last week as it searches for its first retained integrated agency. The process, again, is being overseen by AAR.
