Pitch update: Uniqlo, Amazon and AO.com

ZenithOptimedia has achieved a rare feat in prising business out of the7stars, picking up Uniqlo after a competitive pitch. The review for the Japanese casual clothing brand was led by Ben Cook, its brand marketing manager.

ZenithOptimedia will work closely with Exposure, Uniqlo’s incumbent PR agency, as the company continues with a brand awareness strategy that includes the relaunch of its flagship store at 311 Oxford Street.

Amazon has appointed Deep Focus London to handle social content for the online retailer’s European fashion business after a competitive pitch that involved two other agencies. Deep Focus London, the digital shop owned by Engine, rebranded from Jam earlier this month.

The pitch for AO.com’s creative account, which is being run by AAR, is scheduled for 30 June-1 July. FCB Inferno, Fold7, Karmarama and Mother have all thrown their hats into the ring as contenders.

Pitches for The Black Farmer advertising account have now taken place. The company’s founder, Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones, could make a decision by the end of the week. AAR is working with him on the review.
