Pitch Update

Fittingly, in a week when most people are raising a pint of Guinness to celebrate St Patrick's Day, the pitches for the Tourism Ireland advertising business have taken place. The successful agency will work on the account for four years, with the first campaign breaking in 2012.

A pitch for the global advertising for Aviva's investment division is taking place next week. CMW London, Kitcatt Nohr Digitas and Stephens Francis Whitson have all been shortlisted for the account.

Still no further news on the easyJet advertising review. Grey London and VCCP got down to the final two more than a month ago now, but a decision as to which agency the airline will plump for has still not been made.

Following Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO's victory in the pitch for East Coast Trains against Dentsu and The Red Brick Road, the rail operator has called a review of its digital account. The successful agency will be responsible for eCRM, social media work and web design.

Mindshare, Carat, Arena Media and Maxus have all been shortlisted for the London Business School media account. The client befuddled agencies by asking them to attend a Q&A last Friday, hosted by the intermediary AAR, whereupon no-one felt comfortable asking anything of note for fear of revealing their pitch strategy. Presentations for the account are in two weeks.

Hiscox, which is reviewing its £3 million account, has drawn up a list of five agencies (including UM London, Vizeum and Arena Media) ahead of whittling down a shortlist of two or three to present to the company next month. ISBA's Debbie Morrison is leading the review.
