Following on from the Beiersdorf below-the-line debacle, Kwik Fit has managed to irk agencies with its pitch. The tyre-fitting brand, which split with Adam & Eve/DDB last week, has sent a brief to shops that omits any RFI or client briefing stages and instead asks agencies to send "creative proposals", along with fees/costings. Unsurprisingly, some shops have decided to walk away, given that they haven’t got the opportunity to discuss the brief with the client before being asked to show their work.
McCain Foods has shortlisted four agencies to pitch alongside its long-standing incumbent, BMB. Those on the list are A&E/DDB, Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, Bartle Bogle Hegarty and WCRS. The review, which is being handled by Roth Observatory International, is due to be concluded by the end of September.
