Pitch update

Well, thank God for Budweiser, because the London pitch scene was looking rather dull this week.

Word on the street is that Porsche pitchers (M&C Saatchi and Leo Burnett) are feeling a little bleak. They're sensing that the car marque is going to reappoint the incumbent, Clark McKay & Walpole.

The Training Development Agency has scheduled its pitches for Friday 13 July. Well, it's bound to be a bad omen for three of the four agencies pitching. DDB, WCRS, Leo Burnett and Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners are squaring up. A rapid decision is planned.

It seems that Naked has wormed its way on to the global Johnson & Johnson media pitch. It has been asked to present communications planning ideas for the US and Canada.

A shadow has been cast over the Land Rover DM pitch, now that Ford is looking at flogging the brand. Nevertheless, the incumbent, Craik Jones, WWAV, Iris and Wunderman are all hoping to have a result by the end of September.

Agencies pitching for Monster's £20 million pan-European account fear it's going to ask for a third round of presentations. DDB, TBWA\London, McCann Erickson, JWT and 180 are competing.

Sacla is putting all of its eggs in the small agency basket, inviting Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy, Chick Smith Trott, VCCP and the incumbent, Farm, to pitch for its £4 million account. Mid-July is the target date for a result.
