The Coca-Cola UK media pitch is not expected to kick off until mid-September. It seems the drinks giant is first "kicking the tyres" of various UK media agencies, trying to ascertain whether or not it should ask other shops to compete against the incumbents Vizeum and Universal McCann.
The digital pitch for Travelodge - said to be a "huge" piece of business - is progressing apace. Twentysix London, Agency.com and Soup are competing, with the AAR overseeing proceedings.

Does anyone smell a rat? Goldfish was busy contacting advertising agencies last week about its above-the-line account. The incumbent, Grey, heard about the talks from Campaign, and, lo and behold, within hours the client has changed its mind and decided to stick with Grey.
MFI has lined up BLM, Walker Media, OMD UK and the incumbent, Zenith-Optimedia, to pitch for its £26 million account. Creative is handled by M&C Saatchi, which might help Walker (unless MFI is annoyed by the criticism M&C's TV campaign has been provoking).
